Publication Policy

Layiha Press publishes only open-access law books that have undergone scholarly review. All works are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which permits sharing and reproduction of the work for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given. All books published by our press are made available online in PDF format with open access. No printed books are published for sale, and no work is placed into commercial circulation.

Under the publishing agreement signed with Layiha Press, authors transfer the rights to publish, reproduce, distribute, and republish their works to the press for a specified period. No royalties are paid to the author during this period. To support the sustainability of editorial, peer review, and technical publishing processes, authors are asked to provide a reasonable contribution fee after their work has been accepted for evaluation.

Authors (academics, legal professionals, experts, and researchers) wishing to submit their works to our press may initiate the application process by uploading their book draft, summary, and required information forms through the press’s electronic submission system.

All submissions are first subjected to a similarity check using iThenticate software. They are then reviewed editorially for compliance with writing guidelines, reference formatting (e.g., APA, Chicago, MLA, or ISNAD), and research–publishing ethics. Works that successfully pass these stages are evaluated by at least two reviewers from the relevant academic field. Positive evaluations from the reviewers are required for a work to be approved for publication.

In addition, Layiha Press values the republication of classical works that have entered the public domain (expired copyright) through modern typesetting, simplification, translation, or facsimile reproduction. While these works do not undergo an academic peer review process, they are published following editorial control and approval by the editorial board. The aim is to make legal and intellectual heritage accessible to a wider audience. These works are also published under the open access principle and made available with appropriate licenses.

All books approved for publication are assigned ISBN/e-ISBN and DOI numbers. Books are published exclusively in digital format, and no print copies are issued with a barcode.

Archiving Policy

All works published by Layiha Press are permanently archived in open access on the press’s official website. Users may freely access, download, and use all books, provided they give proper attribution.
